Beginner Rhythm Guitar - Part Two - The right hand (and arm)

So now you've learnt some chords and chord changes, it's time to focus on the all important right hand - your strumming & picking hand. This video looks at two main strumming techniques and demonstrates a couple of common strumming patterns which use the whole arm as well as showing you palm muting and strumming with the wrist, which is great for picking out single strings. Rhythm & timing are the key to the right hand so tapping your foot or bouncing your leg in time is a good habit to get into. You will also start to change chords along with your strumming. Again, lots of practice is required.
